Hi All
macstl 0.3.1 will be out in a week or so, featuring full
compatibility with PPC and x86 Linux and a thoroughly re-optimized
architecture that takes better advantage of gcc 4.0 features such as
aggressive CSE and inlining.
A friendly reminder too, for those thinking of taking us up on our
Hell Freezes Over promotion -- it ends on September 6, 2005, just a
week away. If you qualify, you can purchase a redistribution license
for only $499, an 80% discount over the regular price. Here's how:
1. First 10 organizations that take up the offer.
2. Must have 10 or less staff.
3. Must already have a shipping product for Mac OS X that
incorporates Altivec code on or before September 6, 2005 -- either
publicly available or shipping to actual third parties.
macstl features macstlizer technology, which is a Perl script that
will automatically translate your Altivec C sources into macstl C++
sources, then compile against our Altivec-to-SSE header. Sort of like
a Carbon for the Intel transition!
Cheers, Glen Low
